Certified Reiki & Sound Healing Training in Hong Kong — Small Classes, Real Certification, Free Lifetime Revision
Welcome to Reiki Journey, Hong Kong’s dedicated Reiki and sound healing training studio in Lai Chi Kok, Kowloon. Since 2012, founder and Reiki Grand Master Teacher Anita Chiu has issued more than 5,000 certificates and personally trained over 100 Reiki Master Teachers across Hong Kong, India and Macedonia. Every class — Reiki, singing bowl, gong, tuning fork or meditation — is taught in small groups, in Cantonese or English, by one consistent teacher rather than a rotating roster of instructors. Whether this is your first Reiki class or you’re building a professional sound healing practice, you’re joining a genuine teaching lineage, not a weekend certificate mill.
Why Reiki Journey Is Hong Kong’s Most Complete Reiki & Sound Healing Studio — Small Classes, Lifetime Revision and One Trusted Teacher
What sets Reiki Journey apart isn’t any single course. It’s fourteen years spent teaching one thing properly, with room built in to keep learning after the certificate is in your hand.
Genuinely Small Classes of Up to Six Students for Real Individual Attention
Courses run one-to-one or in small groups of up to six people, taught in whichever language you’re most comfortable in, Cantonese or English. You will never be one face among thirty in a lecture hall.
One Teacher, Five Certified Disciplines — Learn Everything Under One Roof
Anita Chiu holds accreditations from IARP, INHA and ICRT for Reiki, is a Lightarian Institute-certified teacher, trained as a sound healing master teacher through the Samaveda International Academy of Sacred Sound Healing, and holds an ABH hypnotherapy certification. That breadth is why Reiki Journey can teach Reiki, singing bowls, gong, tuning fork and meditation under one roof, from one consistent teacher, instead of sending students between unconnected studios to piece together a practice.
Proven At Scale — Trusted By Corporate Clients Including Manulife
Beyond individual students, Reiki Journey has brought sound healing and wellness sessions into Hong Kong workplaces, including for Manulife and at a public wellness event at Fashion Walk, Causeway Bay.
Bilingual By Default — Learn Comfortably in Cantonese or English
Every course here is taught in both Cantonese and English, decided by what the student in front of Anita actually needs that day. That matters in Hong Kong more than almost anywhere: it means a longtime local practitioner and a newly arrived expat can sit in the same small class, learning the same material, without either one working through a translation.
Certified Reiki Courses in Hong Kong — From Your First Attunement to Becoming a Certified Reiki Master Teacher
Start With Usui Reiki — Our Beginner-Friendly Foundation Course
If you’re new to energy healing, Usui Reiki is where to start. It’s our foundation course, taught across Level One, Level Two, Level Three (Advanced Reiki Training) and Master Teacher, in small classes in Cantonese or English, with free sit-in revision after you graduate — so the material keeps making sense long after your first class ends.
15+ Specialty Reiki Modalities to Expand Your Practice in Any Direction
Beyond Usui, Reiki Journey teaches one of the widest ranges of Reiki modalities available in Hong Kong, each suited to a different focus:
- Egyptian Reiki (Seichim/Sekhem) draws on ancient Egyptian symbology for whole-body energy work.
- Angelic Reiki and Lightarian Reiki work with angelic and high-vibration energy systems, for students drawn to a more celestial practice.
- Buddhic Reiki Series (Quan Yin, Violet Flame, Green Tara) blends Reiki with Buddhist-inspired energy work.
- Reiki for Abundance, Reiki for Love and Reiki for Karma Removal are focused, single-purpose systems built around specific areas of life.
- Akashic Records and Reiki for Protection support students building a psychic-development or protective practice.
- Reiki on Fairies, Elemental Reiki and the Kundalini Fire Series appeal to students drawn to nature-based and elemental energy work.
- Reiki for Sleep is a gentler, dedicated system for students specifically looking to support their rest.
Become a Certified Reiki Master Teacher and Start Teaching Others
Once you’ve completed Master Teacher level, our Usui Grandmaster programme (Levels 5–25) and our Reiki Master Teacher Training course map out a clear path to teaching Reiki yourself — a path Anita has personally guided more than 100 students through.
Most practitioners don’t stop at one modality. A student who starts with Usui Reiki for personal wellbeing often returns a year later for Reiki for Abundance, or for the Akashic Records course, once they’re curious about where their practice can go next. Because every one of these systems is taught by the same teacher, in the same studio, you don’t lose time re-explaining your background to a new instructor each time — Anita already knows what level you’re working at and what you’re ready for next.
Certified Sound Healing Therapist Training in Hong Kong — Turn Singing Bowls, Gong, Tuning Fork & Meditation Into a Real Practice
Alongside Reiki, Reiki Journey is one of the few Hong Kong studios offering certified, internationally accredited sound healing therapist training, across four instruments:
- Singing Bowl Sound Healing Training — our flagship, Samaveda-accredited certification in Tibetan singing bowl therapy, covering technique, practitioner protocols, and working with clients both one-to-one and in groups.
- Tuning Fork Sound Healing Training — a certified course in calibrated tuning fork therapy for relaxation and chakra-focused work.
- Gong Sound Bath Training — learn to lead full gong baths for groups, an increasingly requested skill for corporate and community wellness events.
- Bliss Happiness Meditation Training — a certification combining dynamic meditation, chakra healing and workshop-facilitation skills, for students who want to run their own meditation sessions.
Every course leads to an internationally recognised certificate, runs in small classes in Cantonese or English, and — in keeping with our studio-wide policy — includes free sit-in revision after graduation. Many students combine two or three of these certifications, since the instruments are frequently used together in a working sound healing practice.
What to Expect on Your Certification Training Day
A typical training day mixes short theory sessions with hands-on practice: you’ll spend real time holding the instrument, not just watching it demonstrated, because that’s the only way the technique actually transfers. By the end of the course you’re expected to complete both a practical and a theory assessment before your certificate is issued — this isn’t a course you can attend passively and still walk away qualified to work with clients.
Singing Bowl, Gong & Tuning Fork Sound Bath Sessions in Hong Kong — Deep Relaxation Without Any Training Required
Not everyone wants to train as a therapist — some simply want the experience. Reiki Journey also runs sound bath and sound healing sessions for individuals and small groups, at our Lai Chi Kok studio:
- Singing Bowl Sound Bath sessions, in group or private format
- Gong Sound Bath sessions for deep, meditative relaxation
- Crystal Singing Bowl sessions, using clear quartz bowls for a brighter, higher tone
- Tuning Fork therapy sessions, applied directly around the body
These same sessions have also been delivered as group wellness experiences for corporate clients, including Manulife and the public wellness event at Fashion Walk, Causeway Bay — so they scale from a single private booking to a full office wellness day.
What to Expect During Your First Sound Bath Session
If you’ve never been to a sound bath, the format is simple: you lie down, get comfortable, and let the instruments do the work. There’s nothing to learn and nothing to perform. Most first-time visitors are surprised by how physical the experience is — the vibration from a gong or a large singing bowl is something you feel through the floor and the body, not just something you hear. Sessions typically run 45 to 90 minutes depending on the format you choose.
Buy Handmade Himalayan Singing Bowl Sets in Hong Kong — Genuine, Frequency-Aligned Bowls for Practice or Professional Use
If you’d like to bring the practice home, Reiki Journey also sells genuine handmade Himalayan singing bowls, offered as frequency-aligned seven-chakra sets:
- Flower of Life carved sets
- Full Moon sets
- Himalayan 7-Chakra sets, plain or carved
Every set is aligned bowl-to-bowl, so the full set works together — whether you’re using it for personal meditation, body-contact healing work, or leading your own sound baths after training with us. Pricing is available on enquiry; get in touch and we’ll help you choose the right set for how you plan to use it.
Many students buy their first set right after completing our Singing Bowl Sound Healing Training, since practising with your own bowls at home is one of the fastest ways to build confidence before working with clients. Others simply want a genuine, well-made set for their own meditation practice at home — you don’t need to be training with us to buy one.
Meet Anita Chiu — The Reiki Grand Master Teacher Behind 5,000+ Certified Students in Hong Kong
All of this — Reiki, sound healing, meditation — is taught by one person: Anita Chiu, Reiki Grand Master Teacher since 2012. She holds accreditations from IARP, INHA and ICRT, is a Lightarian Institute-certified teacher, trained as a sound healing master teacher through the Samaveda International Academy of Sacred Sound Healing, and holds an ABH hypnotherapy certification. Over the past fourteen years, she has issued more than 5,000 certificates and personally trained over 100 Reiki Master Teachers across Hong Kong, India and Macedonia, alongside running corporate wellness sessions for organisations including Manulife.
Anita teaches every level personally — there is no rotating roster of junior instructors here — which is also why the free lifetime sit-in policy is possible in the first place: she knows exactly who is in the room and what they’ve already learned.
